Conor McGregor has slammed a current UFC champion and urged Dana White to set up a title showdown despite his long absence from the Octagon. McGregor last fought in July 2021, losing to Dustin Poirier in his trilogy bout at UFC 264 and suffering a broken leg. His much-anticipated comeback against Michael Chandler in June was scuppered after he broke a toe in his left foot in training. There had been hope that McGregor's fight with Chandler could be rearranged for later this year.
