Former Chelsea winger Joe Cole has suggested that Anthony Gordon could replace Harry Kane as England's striker. With Alexander Isak out injured, Gordon lead the line for Newcastle in their clash with Manchester City on Saturday. The 23-year-old scored from the penalty spot and impressed with his work rate as Eddie Howe's side earned a 1-1 draw against the champions at St James' Park. Amid the criticism Kane got for his performances in the Euros this summer, Cole says Gordon could be an alternative for England.
