A number of individuals have been reportedly shot at a subway station in New York Metropolis during rush hour.

Six individuals have been shot at the Mount Eden Avenue practice station in the Bronx at four.47pm on Monday, WABC reported.

The capturing happened on the uptown 4 practice platform.

Witnesses stated they heard more than 10 photographs fired, sources informed the New York Post. One individual was shot within the face and one other in the leg, sources added.

The circumstances of the victims were not immediately recognized.

Northbound 4 trains are bypassing the Mount Eden Avenue stop and operating on the categorical monitor from149 St-Grand Concourse to Burnside Avenue, in line with the MTA.

The New York Police Department suggested the general public to avoid Jerome Avenue between Inwood and Townsend avenues 'on account of an lively police investigation'.
