While some of us should proudly rock our skinnies – high-rise, ankle size mom denims increased in reputation because the 2010s and into the 2020s.

One trend fan was left totally surprised when buying in her native New Look, when she observed that skinny denims had come again into style.

Shocked on the sighting of the slim jeans, posting on social media, the fashionista penned: "In case you ever miss the 2008 era, just pop into New Look."

In the brief video, we noticed the chain's giant providing of skinny denims – with mild washed pairs, brilliant blue denims and even pink pairs of jeggings too.

However style fans have been left completely divided over the re-emergence of thin denims.

Within the early 2000s, skinny jeans have been in all places, paired with other tendencies of the period like ballet flats, that are also on sale in New Look, and peplum tops.

Skinny denims have been bought by both designer brands and quick trend shops, but by the top of the decade they have been falling out of recognition.&

And it's not simply New Look where the denims have been spotted.

One fashionista, who posts on TikTok underneath the username @tamaruka_, took to the video sharing platform to document her recognizing of thin denims.

In a clip that has shortly gone viral and has since racked up 1.2 million views in just at some point, we noticed the fashion fan share screenshots of new-in denim.
